What is More–than–a–Match?
Starting in 2007, the Colorado Episcopal Foundation set 0.7% of our annual budget to support the Millennium Development Goals. To maximize the funds, we've launched More–than–a–Match, a matching campaign. The Foundation will match donations by churches and individuals in the Diocese, up to $12,000, towards the support of the MDG's. (www.episcopalchurch.org/ONE)

We did the math–we need 60 of the 111 churches in our Diocese to raise $200. With the match from the Foundation, that's $24,000!

Who will benefit?
The funds will be distributed equally between the Colorado Haiti Project's Three Bishops' Fund Water Project and the re–construction of the burned down primary school in war–torn Abyei, Sudan.

Why these two organizations?
In order to realize the greatest impact from these funds, we targeted two places where we have relationships and wide support. The Colorado Haiti Project, an organization within our Diocese, is invaluable to the Petit trou de Nippes community as they assist in bringing potable and irrigation water. The Sudanese Community Church, a special congregation of our Diocese, seeks to support the Episcopal Church of Sudan in the reconstruction of the primary school in Abyei, Sudan. The church has suffered much in this area which is still the scene of active conflict.

Where will the campaign happen?
Right at your parish! You can raise funds through Vacation Bible School, an outreach campaign, a bake sale, a special offering, youth group drive, etc... The possibilities are endless!

Until when can we raise funds?
You have all Summer, until 9/30/08. Participating churches will be recognized during the Diocesan Convention in October.

Yes! Each parish received a CD–ROM contains materials for you to print out and use in your parish:
