Wills Program

The Wills Program assists congregations in educating parishioners about the importance of writing and keeping a will current and remembering the church with a bequest. The Foundation partners with individuals and congregations to look at both the spiritual and practical aspects of creating a will and other End of Life related matters.

It is important to remember that such a program is a long-term endeavor. We recommend the Clergy and Vestry to commit to a three-to-five year cycle for maximum effectiveness of the program.

Ongoing Foundation Support:

  • Assessment materials for individuals.
  • Additional brochures on planned giving instruments.
  • Assistance in the creation of your personalized materials.
  • Foundation President will give talks/preach.
  • Foundation Planned Giving Consultant will give workshops or lead classes.
  • Resource to answer individual questions and follow up on inquiries about planned giving instruments (gift annuities, pooled Income funds, charitable trusts, etc.)
  • Available to implement and administer planned giving vehicles with moderate cost.
  • Available to receive and invest funds on behalf of the Parish, make income available to Vestry for Parish use according to guidelines.
